Ubisoft Putting Beyond Good & Evil 2 On Hold?

Ubisoft seems to have abandoned work at the sequel to Beyond Good &ere; Evil, according to word come out of Gamescom that the title is "connected hold for now."

Few weeks ago I cautioned you guys non to get your hopes up for anything Beyond Good & Evil 2, Eastern Samoa the future of the title looked uncertain after IT was a no-show at E3 and Ubisoft made remarks that were equivocal about the franchise's future. Forthwith it seems that the worst has come true as a report from Gamersyde has it that bring on on the title has been in effect halted for the nonce.

"I got verification at Cologne's Gamescom that On the far side Good & Evil 2 is happening hold for now," Gamersyde's Colin Solal Cardo wrote in a Twitter update. "No idea if it's def or temporary but it sucks."

IT does suck, but it's not totally surprising. "Whether or non it comes out remains to personify seen anyway, just we didn't want to abandon that IP because it has a cache and authenticity about it," Ubisoft's Laurent Detoc same last month. "There's something very pure about that game and information technology's unfortunate that we were not able to build information technology Eastern Samoa an IP at the time."

Regrettable that they're not able to build it as an Information science at this time, either, seemingly. Detoc had said that there was a team that has "been temporary on more or less Beyond Good and Evil stuff," but whether Beaver State not a game would actually come of it remained to be seen. For now, it seems, there won't be one.
